Saturday, February 2 2019 • 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm • Kum & Go Theater

Des Moines Social Club

About the Show:
Cass Maher and Hannah Murphy can take on almost anything: Australian accents, girls with bro tendencies, a completely uninhibited love for Billy Zane (don’t ask…but, please ask). In their two-woman sketch revue, they’ll explore the multi-faceted dynamics of female best-friendship and the hijinks and absurdities that go along with it.  Before the performance, Two Broken Girls will be hosting an Improv Comedy workshop – learn more HERE.

Performer Bios:
Cass Maher is a Chicago based comedian, writer, and producer. After moving to Chicago in 2015 to study improv and sketch comedy at The Second City, she has mounted several sketch revues at theaters all over Chicago. The most recent was her two-woman show Two Broken Girls, which was featured in Chicago SketchFest and took home the Best of Fest prize at the Big Pine Comedy Festival in Flagstaff, AZ. She currently performs as an ensemble member at Laugh Out Loud Theatre and with the cast of RIFF: Chicago’s Music Improv Party, at iO Theatre Chicago. Hannah Murphy moved from Raleigh, NC, to Chicago, IL, in 2016. With a Bachelor of Arts in English and Theatre and improvising since 2011, Hannah was a professional member of Raleigh’s Village Idiots, and went on to complete both the Second City and iO improv programs. She is currently a member of the indie improv team, Tuna. Having met Cass Maher during her first year in Chicago, she has loved creating “Two Broken Girls”, and watching it grow has been one of her proudest accomplishments.
