Description: The Art of Makeup is geared toward up-and-coming makeup artists as well as individuals who just want to learn more about technique, history, style and products. Students will be paired up to practice technique on one another. It will be comprised of four workshops:
April 13th – Artist Tools and Technique
General but essential makeup techniques and tool overview. A wonderful class for everyday makeup lovers. We will cover airbrush in this course!
April 27th – History and Trend … Culture and Style
While 1000’s of years of makeup would be impossible to fit into four hours we will cover the basics of makeup history and demonstrate the general styles that centuries of trends have lead us toward.
May 4th – Theater’s No Drag
Covering theatrical makeup application. While fun, this will be a much more technical class—by far be one of the most entertaining makeup applications during the whole series!
May 11th – The Magic of Loving Beauty
A perfect class for people who want to see the different faces of more natural beauty! While geared for the artist who loves making people pretty for events such as weddings, this will be a great class for people who just want to understand and create pretty makeup on themselves as well! This workshop would be a good Mother’s Day outing for a special woman in your life.
