Meetings: 1 x per week for 8 weeks
Cost: $80 per student ($10 per class)
Ages: All are welcome
Materials Needed: Notebook, pen, or computer

During this 8-week workshop, community members will be guided through the process of bringing a short story to life from idea to completion. We will complete character sketches, dialogue exercises, and learn how to write scenes that move the plot forward. Small writing exercises will lead to a complete short story. During our last few meetings, we will also practice editing/revision for publication and discuss where and how to publish work. Each session will consist of discussion of example stories/scenes from published authors, discussion of craft, and writing time. Optional sharing of individuals’ work.
