Registration: Drop-in at door only.  Full course registration in person at DMSC or through MIDWESTIX.

Students should bring: Athletic shoes and clothes that are easy to move in.

Description: Want to learn amazing new skills and invigorate your fitness routine? Perfect for adults of all ages and fitness levels. Circus is a great way to improve body balance, strength, flexibility, and coordination. Your body AND mind will get a work out! We will explore several varieties of circus props and apparatus from juggling, to hula hooping, acrobatics and even aerial arts! This is great way to learn a little bit of everything circus.  No experience is necessary, simply a curiosity for all things circus. Classes are individualized to your needs and strengths. Come and learn circus arts right here in Des Moines from a real full-time circus performer. Space is limited. Those who pre-register will be given preference.

Instructor Bio: It started innocently enough- learning to juggle for a middle school play in her small Iowa hometown. Several years later, Laura has become an international award-winning performer that has made a career out of her passion for entertaining and teaching. She has taught Circus Arts all over the world, from mission trips in Guatemala, to After School Programs in Washing D.C., and the Circus Smirkus Youth Circus. Laura has years of experience teaching all ages and levels of skill and is dedicated to providing safe and professional circus instruction.
