Instructor Bio:  It started innocently enough- learning to juggle for a middle school play in her small Iowa hometown. Laura’s first performances were at street festivals in that hometown, wowing audiences with fire manipulation. After years of gymnastics and joyfully juggling her way through college, Laura discovered that a “regular” job would never satisfy her creative spirit so she set off on journey to train and hone her skills.

Several years later, Laura has made a career out of her passion for entertaining. In 2008 Laura won 1st place at the World Juggling Federation, ranking her as one of the best jugglers in the world. Then, on the fifth season of America’s Got Talent, Laura performed inside her human-sized hamster ball, a prop so impressive it caused Howie Mandel to exclaim, “I love you! You are my soul mate.” In 2012 Laura became the only woman in the world to juggle flaming chainsaws, bringing new meaning to the words “hot ticket.” She has performed all over the world as a full time professional circus performer, and is excited to bring the circus arts to Des Moines!
