The Des Moines Social Club is an innovative arts and entertainment venue located in a renovated, historic art deco Firehouse in downtown Des Moines. The non-profit provides a home for local artists, offers unique programming spanning all arts disciplines, and brings people of every age and background together under one roof — all for the purpose to use the arts as a catalyst to create unprecedented community engagement.
Des Moines is on the brink of becoming a cultural hotspot. Our city has been honored with many accolades for business, young professionals, education and families, yet the one major accolade we lack is for our local culture. By making a gift to the non-profit Des Moines Social Club, you are ensuring that hundreds of local artists will be given the chance to hone their craft and make their work known to a larger, national audience. The Des Moines Social Club is a home to encourage, inspire and develop our robust local talent. Your gift will help put Des Moines on the national cultural map.
Why I Support…
In the current war for young professional talent, the Des Moines Social Club is our secret weapon. MICHELLE BOOK | Senior Manager Community Investment, Pioneer Hi-Bred
We also understand the importance of collaboration, especially in the nonprofit sector. The model developed by the Des Moines Social Club exemplifies the meaning of collaboration! KRISTI KNOUS | President & COO Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines
As a community, we have to remain vibrant. In that context, the Des Moines Social Club does a wonderful job of serving as a venue for young people. We are recognized nationally as a very progressive region and the war for talent mandates that we cater to the next generation with a real sense of passion. SUKU RADIA | CEO & President, Bankers Trust
The environment of the Des Moines Social Club helped me connect, learn and grow with like-minded people. Through DMSC I met Erica Carnes; we became great friends and eventually business partners! The connections I made at DMSC are priceless and I will treasure (and abuse) them forever and ever. JESSICA MILLER | Owner, Hill Vintage & Knits
